Message Templates

Message templates are reusable messages you prepare once and use across your broadcasting campaigns and auto replies. They save time and keep your communication consistent.

Creating a Template

1. 1.Click the WA Web Plus button in WhatsApp Web.
2. 2.Navigate to the Templates tab.
3. 3.Click Add New.
4. 4.Give your template a name so you can find it easily.
5. 5.Choose the template type, write your content, and save.

Template Types

1. Text Messages

Simple text messages. You can enable the option to show the template in the quick replies list, letting you send it to any contact with a single click directly from the chat. WA Web Plus also automatically handles link previews in text templates.

2. Media Templates

Send multiple photos or videos alongside a text message. Additional options include:

• •Set media to be viewed once only — the file will be viewable a single time on the receiver's device.
• •Send audio as a voice message — the audio will appear as if it was recorded as a voice note.

3. Attachment Templates

Send multiple files and documents alongside a text message. Useful for sending PDFs, spreadsheets, or any other file type.

4. Contact Card Templates

Send one or multiple contact cards alongside a text message. Great for sharing business contacts or referrals.

Dynamic Variables

You can personalize your templates using dynamic variables. Press the @ button while editing a template to insert any of the following:

• •${contactName} — Contact's full name
• •${contactNameFirst} — Contact's first name
• •${contactNameLast} — Contact's last name
• •${waName} — WhatsApp display name (full)
• •${waNameFirst} — WhatsApp display name (first)
• •${waNameLast} — WhatsApp display name (last)
• •${groupName} — Name of the group
• •${phone} — Phone number
• •${date} — Current date
• •${time} — Current time

When using a template in a broadcasting campaign targeting numbers from an Excel sheet, you can also insert any column from the sheet as a dynamic variable — making each message fully personalized.

Spintax — Rotating Text for Unique Messages

Spintax lets you define multiple variations of a word or phrase. WA Web Plus will randomly pick one variation per message, generating more unique content and reducing repetitive patterns.

Syntax: {option1|option2|option3}

Example template:

Hi {there|friend|👋}, {check out|take a look at|don't miss} our {latest|newest} offer!

Possible results:

• •Hi there, check out our latest offer!
• •Hi friend, take a look at our newest offer!
• •Hi 👋, don't miss our latest offer!

Spintax is especially useful in broadcasting campaigns to keep messages feeling natural and personal.
